Employee portal settings

Switch the employee portal on or off and choose which sections it shows.

Overview

The employee portal (/portal) is the surface where every member of your organization sees and completes what is assigned to them: policies to acknowledge, trainings to complete, tasks, documents, evidence requests and incident reporting. Members with the Employee role see only the portal; admins and members can use it too.

This page controls what that portal shows:

  • Portal switched on is the overall switch. Switching it off closes the portal for everyone in the organization — employees see a short notice instead of their work. Section choices are kept, so switching the portal back on restores the exact composition you had.
  • Sections switches one portal surface on or off. A section that is off disappears from the portal navigation and its pages stop answering, including links people bookmarked earlier. Everything else keeps working.

Sections

Each section switch carries this description in the settings, too:

  • Policies: policies assigned to employees to read and acknowledge.
  • Trainings: trainings assigned to employees to complete.
  • Tasks: tasks assigned to a person or to one of their business roles.
  • Documents: document entries assigned to employees, and the document types you opened for portal submission (a record category's Allow portal submission setting).
  • Evidence: evidence requests reaching a person through their business roles or tasks.
  • Incidents: incident reporting and follow-up, available to everyone.

What switching off does not do

Switching a section off changes what the portal shows; it does not change the underlying data or anyone's obligations. Assignments keep their due dates and reminders, tasks stay assigned, and everything remains visible in the admin app. Turn a section off when you are not using that workflow, not to pause obligations.
