Templates

Every built-in template in one place, those for your frameworks first. Adding one creates an editable copy in your organization.

Overview

devguard ships starting points for five kinds of content: processes, policies, risks, records, and vendor questionnaires. Each module offers its own templates where you create that content; this page lists all of them together, so you can see what exists before you go looking for it.

A template is never used directly. Adding one copies it into your organization, in your language, and from then on the copy is yours to edit. Changing the copy leaves the template as it was, and a later change to the template does not reach your copy.

Your frameworks first

Each template belongs to one or more areas: security, quality, environment, occupational health and safety, AI, privacy, PCI DSS, DORA, NIS2, or HIPAA. The frameworks you have adopted decide which areas apply to you. An organization that adopted ISO 9001 sees the quality templates; one that adopted ISO/IEC 27001 sees the security ones.

When you have adopted at least one framework, the Only for your frameworks switch is on and the page shows only the templates for those areas. Turn it off to see every template; the ones that fit your frameworks then carry a For your frameworks badge and stay at the top of each group. With no framework adopted there is no switch, and the page lists everything.

Groups

GroupEach row isMarkerWhat Add does
Processesa checklist or report template, with its clausesnoneOpens the form for a new process. Once it is saved, the Structure tab offers the templates for the same area.
Policiesa policy template, with its referenceAlready addedPolicies are added in the setup wizard, which also asks who approves them. Add in the setup wizard opens it.
Risk catalogsa catalog of risk or opportunity templates, with its source2 of 9 added, for exampleOpens the risk template dialog with that catalog's remaining templates ticked. You choose the owner role there and confirm.
Recordsa record template, with its referenceAlready addedCreates the record template and a record category that uses it, straight away.
Questionnairesa vendor questionnaire templatenoneCreates the questionnaire and opens it.

The markers come from the content's slug, which remembers the template it was created from. A policy, risk, or record whose slug you changed no longer counts as added. Processes and questionnaires keep no such link, so this page cannot tell whether you already use one of those templates.

Add appears only where your role may create that kind of content. A record template that is already added has no Add; neither does a risk catalog whose templates are all in use.
